This policy explains what personal data we collect through dms-sailing.gr, why, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What we collect
Information you give us: your name, email, phone number, travel dates, group size and anything else you write in our enquiry, contact or newsletter forms or in an email to us.
Information collected automatically: technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and how you arrived at our website. Some of this is collected with cookies, as described below.
Why we use it
To answer your enquiry and prepare an offer (steps before a contract), to run your charter and meet our legal and accounting obligations (contract and legal obligation), to keep our website secure and understand how it is used (legitimate interest), and to send our newsletter if you subscribe (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting, email and analytics, and only for that purpose. When you book, the details needed for the charter agreement are shared with the owner of the yacht and, where required, with the port and maritime authorities.
We may disclose data where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for up to six months. Booking and invoicing records are kept for as long as Greek tax and accounting law requires. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw consent at any time. Write to info@dms-sailing.gr and we will reply within one month.
If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
Cookies
Essential cookies keep the website working. They do not need your consent. The admin area uses one essential cookie to keep staff logged in.
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies at the moment. If we add them, we will ask for your consent first.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
